ANDREAS WEIGEND

Dr. Andreas Weigend is the author of "Data for the People". He was the chief scientist at Amazon. He coached Jack Ma on Alibaba's data strategy. In 2018, Angela Merkel appointed him to Germany’s Digital Council.

As advisor and consultant, he helps organizations ask the right questions, leveraging data and analytics. His clients include airlines, banks, telcos, fashion retailers, and healthcare companies.

Andreas studied physics and philosophy in Karlsruhe, Cambridge and Bonn, before moving to Stanford for his Ph.D. in neural networks. He teaches courses on AI and Data Science at Stanford, Berkeley, and in Asia.
